Finally after 8 months I was offered a job. I will be a Client Services Associate for Bayada Nurses in Charlotte. Many thanks go to a friend of Mike's from Wilmington who helped me to get my foot in the door, I can't thank her enough. I start my new position on September 10th. With that being said, I have lots to do to pack up the house this week and get ready to move to Charlotte next Sunday.
Other big news would be that the house is under contract! We are set for a closing date of September 26th. We decided to try selling the house "For Sale By Owner" first and that is how it sold. The 4th person who came to look at the house decided to put an offer in. So please say prayers that this process goes through flawlessly.
Thank you all for your prayers over the last 8 months. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I continue with many new chapters in my life over the upcoming months. I will miss all of my friends here in Raleigh, but know that I will be back, and you all have a place to stay if you come to Charlotte to visit. The door is always open!

Charlotte Bound!
Let me start by saying Thank You all for your thoughts and prayers for the job situation over the last few months.
Over the past 2 or 3 months Mike and I had decided that we wanted to move. We talked about Greensboro first, then we considered Charlotte as well. I interviewed at a couple of businesses in Greensboro, then started emailing reps that I knew in Charlotte to find out if they knew of any available jobs for me in the Charlotte area. Even though I was going to get an offer in Greensboro last week, it was just a day too late, Mike had already been offered a job to move to Charlotte (there were no jobs for him in the Greensboro area at the time). Yes it is a lateral move, but it gets him away from the Raleigh District Manager who wasn't very fair to him and was holding him back (Mike should have had his own store by now). Now, I have to find a job. I have a couple of possibilities going on, however, please keep saying prayers that I find something. Oh and I also have to sell my house, I am praying that we get an offer sometime early this week.

The Lord's Blessing
The Lord has given me the blessing of Mike in my life. A few weeks ago, Mike came to me and told me that he wanted to be Baptized in the Lake Baptism at the Church we have been going to. I cannot describe the excitement and pride that i felt when he told me this. Ever since my being reaquainted with the Lord in 2006, I have hoped for a Christian man to be put in my life. Since we began dating Mike knew it was important to me for whoever I dated to go to church with me. With that being said, getting to see the Lord's work in Mike has been so great.
On August 3rd, Mike and I began a new chapter in our life by being Baptized together. I chose to be Re-Baptized with him because I had been wanting to do it since last year. I thought this would be as good of a time as any since we were going to begin another chapter in our life in March as Husband and Wife.

Engaged!
For those of you I haven't had the chance to talk to in person, as of yesterday, Mike and I are engaged! We have been talking about it for a few months, but he decided to do it yesterday. The ring is beautiful, and he picked it out all on his own!! Stay tuned for more details, I just wanted to share the great news and some pics! I am so excited!!
Update on the job situation, I had picked up one part time job the other week, then last week I picked up another working about 25 hours (possibly more a week), unfortunately the first part time job called yesterday to let me know they weren't going to use me so I still have the one. I am still looking for for a full time job in the mean time. So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

It's been a long time....
Well it's been since the first of January since my last update. As many of you know, I was let go from my job back in January so, I have spent a lot of time the last three months trying to find a new job. I have been trying to avoid going back to the Advertising side and doing Media and using those skills to get into a Marketing position on the Client side. The last Advertising position kind of made me not want to stay away from Advertising, especially after they tried to say that I resigned to keep me from getting unemployment. Anyway, back in February I was supposed to start a job with McClatchey (they own a bunch of newspapers across the US), however that fell through 2 days I was supposed to start due to budget cuts. It was pretty much back to the drawing board for me. I am supposed to be starting a Part Time Contract job, however I have not heard from the recruiter to know when I am supposed to start.
The past 3 months have truly been a test of my faith. I have had to exercise a lot of patience, and for those of you who know me know I don't really have a ton of it, so it is something I had to learn how to have more of. I thank you all for all of your thoughts and prayers!
Shannon, Billy and the girls are back in North Carolina. They made the long trip back from Dallas back in January and have been living with my dad and Claudette in Greensboro. Shannon got a job with the same company she was working with in Dallas and is in New Jersey for training this week. Billy is still trying to decide if he wants to work on a Golf Course or not. They did purchase some land in Charlotte to build a house on, the house should be ready in about 6 mos. Kennedy is 5 and Ragan is 3. Ragan had a My Little Pony Birthday Party back in March and Kennedy had a Hannah Montana Party a couple of weeks ago. They are both getting so big and I am very glad to have them so close again. Oh, and Kennedy has gotten re-attached to Murphy. Whenever I talk to her, she asks to talk to Murphy.
Finally, things with Mike are going well. He has been really great and patient with me over the past few months. I don't know what I would have done without him. He has helped keep me from going totally crazy and helped me to have hope. We have been talking about a future and he even has a ring picked out.
I am going to sign off for now, I will try to make the updates a little more frequent.

Happy New Year!
So the New Year has started out a little challenging for me. On Friday, January 4th, I lost my job. Unfortunately the small Advertising Agency I was working for was not able to get enough overhead to keep my position, so in turn they terminated my position. There was panic at first but with God on my side I know that I will be ok.
Things with Mike are still going really well. He is actually going with me to Greensboro this weekend for my Dad's Birthday.
Well for Christmas, I went to Dallas (maybe for the last time) to spend time with Shannon, Billy, Kennedy and Ragan. It is so great being able to get up and see those 2 girls faces on Christmas morning. That is the best gift that anyone could get. They were very excited by all the gifts that Santa Claus brought them, and of course the gift that I (Aunt 'Zanne) gave to them, their American Baby Dolls. My sister gave me the idea to get these dolls in which they named them Hannah and Chloe.
As I told you in an earlier blog, Billy lost his job back in October. So they were looking to sell the house and hopefully move back East, closer to home. The update with that is that they sold the house and close on that on January 24th. Shannon is hoping to get relocated back to North Carolina, hopefully Charlotte where they will be back with all their friends and family! I would love to have them closer to home! Billy was waiting to talk with a company and had also talked with a Golf Course back in Charlotte about jobs.
Please keep Shannon, Billy, Kennedy and Ragan in your prayers, praying that they will figure out what God's plan for them is and whether they will stay out in Dallas for a few months longer or they will come on back to North Carolina.
I also ask you to keep me in your prayers as well. Pray that God will give me the rest, while also helping me to find the "Right" workplace that he wants me to be.
I know that God has a specific plan for Shannon, Billy, Kennedy, Ragan and Me, we just need to exercise patience that God will work his magic and place us exactly where he wants us to be.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I am attaching some of the pictures that I took from my trip to Dallas. Love to all!
