Well it has been 2 months since we have been in the new house and we are enjoying it. We can't believe it is almost Christmas already, where has the time gone!
I apologize for some of you having to find out like this, but there are just so many loved ones to call, but Mike and I are expecting! The due date is July 3, 2010! As of today I am 11 weeks and 4 days, almost through the first trimester! We went to the doctor yesterday and were able to hear the heartbeat. At first the nurse tried to find it, and I have to admit I was a little worried but know it is not always able to be heard this early. Then the doctor came in and he was able to hear it. I was much relieved! We are super excited and would still appreciate all of the prayers we can get as it is still early!
We love you all and wish you all a very happy holiday! Feel free to call us, we would love to hear from you!

We have moved!!!
Well, moving day has come and gone. We have been in the house for 4 days now. I don't want to post our address on here, but if you would like the new address feel free to let us know. Luckily we had lots of time to move. I took off 4 days of work to move and relax in the new home, also to stay with Murphy to make sure he is ok. His blood sugars have been a little off because of nerves from the move. Let's just say, he decided to pee on my leg the other night. He marked his territory all right! I was really mad at him at the time!
Other things happening? Mike is getting moved to another store in Charlotte. His manager is getting switched and chose him to go with her. Hopefully this will be a good move for him! Work is going well for me, it is busy trying to market and do all of my other tasks too, but I still enjoy working for Bayada! I am also back to doing Community Bible Study, we are studying the book of Revelation. It's tough so far, but pretty good!
Also, my sister, Shannon has lost her job again, please keep her in your prayers while she looks for something . I know she is worried!
Mike and I would love to hear from you or see you! Feel free to come see us or email us anytime!

July Already!
Well it is July 1st already! Where is the year going? Three months and 3 days after our wedding, Mike and I are still in the Charlotte area! We are trying to find some things to get into. Tonight Mike is actually playing soccer with a guy that I went to High School with!
Since the last time I wrote, we have gone out of town to the Outer Banks for Memorial Day weekend for my sister Nicole's wedding. It was a blast, and Nicole made a beautiful Bride!
The first weekend in June, we went to Washington, D.C. for Bayada Nurses Awards weekend. We had a great time and to go see the Washington Nationals play the NY Mets.
Since the last time I wrote, we have gone out of town to the Outer Banks for Memorial Day weekend for my sister Nicole's wedding. It was a blast, and Nicole made a beautiful Bride!
Also, we celebrated Mike's birthday a couple of times. On his actual birthday, we were keeping Kennedy and Ragan and we celebrated by going to get pizza and having chocolate cake that the girls and I made. So a couple of weeks after his birthday, we finally got to celebrate by going out to eat at the Village Tavern. It was very good!

Another weekend, our friend Todd came into town for a soccer tournament and we got to hang out and visit some. We always realize we really miss our friends from Raleigh when we see them.
Update on the Murph dog!?! Well today is his 7th Birthday. Hard to believe I have had him almost 7 years. Time flies! After Memorial Day weekend we took him for a glucose curve. It went better than the Vet expected, she said that his blood sugar levels were at good levels throughout the day, so we did not need to increase his doses of insulin or change his food at this time. Since we caught the diabetes early, he could live a normal life span!
I hope you all are doing well. Let us know how you all are doing and feel free to come to Charlotte and come see us!

A quick update!
Well not a lot has gone on since the wedding. Although it seems like we have been just as busy as we were before. Things that have been happening....I was sort of given a promotion at work. I am now a Client Services Manager at Bayada Nurses. I have actually been doing the work for a few months, but I finally got the name change.
We also found out last week that Murphy has diabetes. Luckily we caught it early! He started going potty in the house and drinking a lot of water, we thought it might just be a UTI, but Mike took him to the vet last Wednesday and with the sugar being so high in his urine along with the other signs, the vet said he had diabetes. She also sent off a blood sample for the final clue that normally lets them know the animal has it. We started him on insulin on Friday night! He has been doing pretty well since, gaining a lot of energy back! It was certainly a shock to us when we first found out! But we have adjusted, and Shelley (one of my sisters, the vet), says that he can live a normal life span.
We hope everyone is doing well! Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing!

Honeymooning in Antigua
Bright and early Monday morning after the Wedding, we were headed to Antigua for our honeymoon! Our flight left at at 630 a.m. so we had to be at the airport at about 445a.m. We got to Antigua at about 2p.m. Needless to say right after we got off of the airplane, what do you know, rain! We had brought the rain with us. It really only lasted a few minutes but it was a little ironic. A shuttle took us to Sandals, and I have to say it was the bumpiest ride I think I have ever been on!
We chose to stay at Sandal's while on our honeymoon, everything was inclusive, the food and the drinks. We had a choice of whatever we wanted to drink. My favorite came from a recommendation from my cousin Elaina, it was what they call a BBC, Bailey's Banana and Cream. It was very tasty! Mike's favorite became and strawberry and banana daquiri, although he had some wine, beer and other stuff too! Each day we had a stocked bar by our concierge. Needless to say there wasn't always stuff to stock, we did enjoy some Champagne, after all, we were on our honeymoon!
Throughout our stay at Sandal's we took walks on the beach, swam in

We had a great time on our honeymoon, we got lots of rest and I have to say, it was kind of sad to come home and get back to the real world! I think we could have both stayed a few more days if not another week!

Married at last!
Well it's April 14th, and Mike and I are back from our Honeymoon and married! As most of you know, the wedding date was Saturday, March 28th of 2009.
On Thursday, March 26th, Mike and I packed up the car with all of the wedding stuff and Murphy and headed to Wilmington for the wedding weekend! After meeting much of our family down there, we unloaded the car, including Murphy into Mike's brother's condo. No, Murphy was not part of the wedding! Anyway, about 25 of us went to dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse called Hiro. It was a lot of fun! Then after dinner some of my cousins, Nicole, Mike's brother and friends all went bar hopping in downtown Wilmington. Admittedly, I had a little too much fun!

Friday morning, after having breakfast with my long lost cousin Jeff Jasper, Nicole
and I headed to the Airport to pick up Anna Margaret. Mike was playing golf with a group of about 5 or 6. We headed back to the hotel to meet Shannon and the girls, Michelle, and Claudette to go to get our nails done! I had never had fake nails before, but they looked really good! After our manicures and pedicures, we headed back to Shell Island to get some rest and get ready for the Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner. At 5p, we all met to have Rehearsal, halfway through the rehearsal it started raining. I was hoping that this wasn't a sign for the day to come. Anyway, we carried the rehearsal inside and then headed to the Rehearsal Dinner. Dinner was great as well as the company! All of the wedding party liked their gifts, atleast I think they liked them. After a long night before, we all decided to call it an early night and prepare for the Big Day!
Saturday
, Anna Margaret and I woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast, making sure to eat because we didn't know what the day had in store for me. I have to say, when we woke up Saturday morning, it was beautiful outside, ok, maybe not beautiful, but the sun was in and out. I had an appointment to get hair done at noon, with my soon to be mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law, and my bridesmaid Michelle. It rained while we were getting our hair done and I was hoping that would be it for the day! Unfortunately I was wrong. We were getting showers and getting ready for the ceremony and it was just cloudy, I thought the rain would hold off. About 230p or 3p, the wedding coordinator called me to tell me it was raining (they were setting up chairs on the beach for the ceremony) and it didn't look like it was going to stop according to the sky and the radar. As disappointed as I was, I really wanted to have the ceremony on the beach, I made the decision to have the ceremony inside! After all, they say it's good luck to have it rain on your wedding day. Oh yeah, did I mention that I was a bridesmaid short too? My sister Shelley who lives in Colorado had gotten snowed in after mother nature had dumped INCHES of snow so that she couldn't fly out. So besides having to have the ceremony inside and being a sister and a bridesmaid short, I was ready to get the show on the road! The ceremony started shortly after 4p, and all of the festivities followed. After the ceremony, it did stop raining long enough so that we could get some pictures on the beach! After the reception, Mike had arranged for a Limo to pick us up and take us for a ride, after we got back we spent our first evening together as Husband and Wife.

Sunday, Mike and I woke up early, so we tried to go walk on the beach before
meeting family and friends for breakfast at 830a. As luck would have it, the walk was cut short due to rain, thunder and lightening, we took off running into the Resort. At 830a, we met family and friends for breakfast and then had to pack up cars to checkout. We, ok, maybe just me, were really sad that the wedding day had happened so quickly! Thanks to family and friends we got a lot of the moments on photo (if you have some pictures to send, I would REALLY appreciate it). About 1p, we were all packed up, got Murphy from Angelo's condo and were on our way to Greensboro to rest and repack for our honeymoon on Monday morning.

I'm getting married!
Ok, I still have a hard time believing that I am getting married. God has put an awesome man and friend in my life! I couldn't ask for anyone better. I have to say I am getting excited. All of the wedding fun has started.
January 30th, I had a trial run for my hair! Boy that was fun! I have to say I still love for people to play with my hair! And being pampered too, nothing can beat it.
On February 7th, I had my first shower! Although plans changed at the last minute it was a blast! Where my friend Michelle was supposed to host the party, her father got sick (and he is doing better now) and she had to take care of him. Since Michelle couldn't host, my other good friends Ann Cavender and Jodi Ray took over at the last minute, and I can't forget Anna Margaret in Tennessee helped in spirit and financially. Anyway, I got lots of beautiful lingerie that I will get to model on the Wedding night and on the Honeymoon. Ooh la la!
The 21st of February, while Mike was in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, I was in Greensboro having my Bridal Portraits! That was great fun. Where I was a little nervous the first few pictures (I was on an old pier and was worried I might fall in) I loosened up and had a lot of fun! I even had one pose done with Murphy!
A few days later (on the 25th of February) my co workers threw me a surprise Bridal Shower at a restaraunt called Lava. I was very surprised and delighted. I am blessed to have the friends and people I work with. I have to add I got some very nice things too. Mike asked if we could start using the stuff we have gotten.
Well that's all the fun for now. Tomorrow is 4 weeks from the actual wedding date. I have one more shower for next weekend, and then have to work on the finishing touches for the wedding!
I hope to see you all soon! Take care!

Time is ticking!
Well, we are within the 2 month time frame! Things are starting to pick up and get busy! A few weeks ago I had my dress fitted, I would post pictures but there has to be some surprise, not to mention Mike may see! The weekend of the 19th, Mike's Mom and Gram were in town visiting and they helped me finish the Invitations so we could get those out. Last weekend we met with Mr. McLurkin, who is marrying us! This weekend trial run for Bridal Portraits! Anyway like I said, the ball is rolling and time is ticking! March 28th will get here before we know it!
With the wedding date getting closer, we are both getting excited and trying to get the little things done! We truly appreciate all the help that we have received from all of our family and friends, we can't thank you enough! Hope to see some of you soon!
Love,
Suzanne

85 Days and Counting.....
Ok, I am pretty slack at this! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Well, we have been in Charlotte for almost 4 mos now and it has sort of flown by! I guess we have had a lot going on and a lot to look forward to with the holidays and all. With 85 days left until the Wedding, it will get even busier, all starting next week with my dress fitting and a trial run with the hair.
As I mentioned back in August, I am working for Bayada Nurses. I am an Associate for them where I was doing filing and other administrative work, but now I have started to get my own caseload where I staff Nurses Aides with Clients, along with some of my other duties. Mike is still with Sprint, working at the Southpark store. He is enjoying it and doing well.
I have included some pictures from Christmas at Pop's and Cici's. We missed having Shelley there who moved to Colorado the first of December. Shelley, I hope you are staying warm out there. And Congrats to Nicole, who is also getting married this year, almost 2 months after me!
I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope that we can hear from you and see you soon!
