Thanksgiving in Greensboro

I know it's kind of late to post pictures from Thanksgiving, but better late than never. In the past we have always gone to Grandmother and Granddaddy Austin's house in Charlotte, this year we went to Dad and Claudette's House. It was a BEAUTIFUL day outside and we had games to play and great company. Some even spent the night and woke up and continued to enjoy each others company. Above are pictures for all to see.

The picture to the left is with my Murphy and my cousin Paige's little puppy, whose name is also Murphy.

All in all a good time was had by all! I wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Season!

Happy Birthday Shannon!

Well, it's December 1st, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON!! I love you and I hope you have a great birthday! I miss you all and can't wait to see you Christmas!

Since I last wrote, I had a birthday, 34 years old now. Where do the years go? Like a good friend of mine says "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes", my how this seems true. For my birthday I went to Greensboro, I got to celebrate with Doug and Lori on Friday. Then Saturday, Dad and I washed my new car, we had an ice cream cake (see picture on left) that Claudette got it for me, it was scrumptious! Later in the afternoon Dad, Claudette and I went to watch the NC State Football game before Claudette and I headed to the Casting Crowns Concert. I can't say what a great time that I had at the concert! The Casting Crowns were awesome and uplifting, I will have to go see them again! They come to Raleigh on March 30th! Finally to wrap up my weekend, Claudette, Brandon and I went to Church on Sunday morning. For lunch, she fixed her wonderful Lasagna and then I headed back to Raleigh to unfortunately see NC State lose to New Orleans. I had a very good weekend and I was very happy to spend it with my dad and Claudette, they truly made it a special birthday!

Also new in my life is that I am dating someone. I know I said in previous posts that I wasn't ready to date someone. Well I believe that God put Mike in my life for a reason. We met in February at Todd's birthday. Since then we have been friends growing close over the past few months. (Come to find out, he has actually liked me for a while, but I didn't seem to come around until recently.) He is a great guy who treats me very well. He is very thoughtful and caring and treats me the way I deserve to be treated. Best of all, in addition to dating, we are also great friends!

Oh yeah, I mentioned above something about my new car. To the left is a picture of it, it is a 2007 Storm Grey Nissan XTerra with black interior and I really have enjoyed it so far!

Overall, life is treating me really well, work is going great, I am staying busy, making some good friends and my bosses are a lot of fun! The boy situation is wonderful, Mike treats me like a queen. I couldn't be happier with everything that is going on in my life at this moment!

Pictures from State beating ECU on October 20th

Mike, Todd, Michelle and I all went down to Greenville to see NC State beat ECU. While Michelle was cheering for ECU, Todd and I were cheering for the Pack and Mike was not cheering for either one. We tailgated for a while, then went to the game. After the game Michelle and I had been talking about Chico's for weeks, so we headed to Chico's for dinner. A great time was had by all!

Lori's Bachelorette Party - October 13th, 2007

1st Blog

I hope you all are enjoying your Fall so far! It is actually pretty hard to believe that in just over 2 days it will be November. Christmas will be here before you know it!

Those of you who I haven't talked to in a while. I have been working at The Magna Group since the beginning of April. We deal with all Car Dealerships, mostly in the Raleigh Area. We did however just pick up a new Home Builder Account, St. Lawrence Homes, which I have worked on before. It is going well, my how 8 mos flies. A while back I had some frustrations going on at work, I wasn't sure if the faith in my capabilities was there, I do feel I have worked hard to overcome all in the past month or so.

I am not dating anyone, haven't really wanted to honestly. I figure when God is ready for me to meet that special someone, he will put him in my life (that is if he isn't already). I have just been spending time with friends. I have gotten to go to 2 hockey games so far this season. I have been playing some soccer this summer, sat out playing volleyball. I am very much looking forward to getting back into that this winter. In addition to all of the above, I am still finding time to participate in a Bible Study. It is part of Community Bible Study, we are studying the Divided Kingdom and the Minor Prophets. I am learning a lot and meeting some nice people.

Since I have season NC State Football tickets, I have been to all but 1 of the games, and that happened to be this weekend when I went to Greensboro for my friend Lori's wedding (CONGRATS LORI AND DOUG). I am still in shock that we have won the last 2 games. Basketball season is coming up in just a few weeks, which is hard to believe, but I think we may be pretty decent this year. We will definitely have some depth, we just need someone key in the Point Guard position. We are predicted to finish 3rd in the ACC (just behind Carolina and Duke), but I am not quite sure about that! We will see come the end of the season.

Murphy is now 5, and just as spoiled as he was when I got him! He still has a ton of energy! Just this past weekend we went to my dad's house, which he loves, because he can run around without a leash! Murphy has brought great joy to my life, he has been there through lots of my ups and downs and has always managed to put a smile on my face, well except for when he chews up a shoe or something. Then he knows he's in trouble. I will probably dress him up in the same costume as I did last year. I will post pics.

I have not talked to my sister lately, but she is still hoping to move back home to the East. Not sure when it will happen, they have to sell their house first. Where exactly they are going to move to is still to be determined. I would love to have them closer to me so that I can see Kennedy and Ragan more often. I feel like I have missed out on so much already. I have gotten to go out there to Dallas once or twice a year, but it's just not quite enough.

Well I am going to wrap it up for now. I will post some more soon!
